This program is open to anyone interested in this disease, not only caregivers of those with the disease and their families. Meetings are normally held on the first Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m. but please check the calender for the exact date.
Post Polio Syndrome
Come down and meet others who have Post Polio Syndrome. There will be literature available and information on the Post Polio Newsletter. This group will meet on the third Thursday of every month from 1:00 - 2:00.
Early Stage Alzheimer's Support Group @ The Palmer Public Library
2nd Tuesday of the month from 4:00-5:00
Both the caregiver and the individual with early stage Alzheimer's attend this support group. This group is especially for people with a diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or who are in the early stages of Alzheimer's diseaseor a related dementia. Attendees are divided into two groups - one for the individual with Alzheimer's and one for the care partner, to provide specialized forums to share feelings, concerns and information, and to support each other in coping with the effects of the disease.
