Fields: the Town has a number of fields used for sports events. Baseball, soccer, and football are available to Town residents, as well as passive recreation. Legion Field is the premier field with a state-of-the-art lighting system for night play. Contact the park division superintendent at 283-2667 or the main DPW office at 283-2615 for further information.
Light rental Legion Field: $35 per hour plus labor charge for persons working the venue.
Field permits: are required for any group or organization wishing to use a field or area. Permits may be obtained online or by contacting the Park or DPW offices. Permits are issue on a first-come first-served basis and are not transferable.
There is no charge for permits at this time. Permits will be available on or about March 1st of 2007. Certain conditions do apply, so please read carefully before applying and have all the paperwork necessary.
Playgrounds: located in the four villages throughout the Town. Play areas are designed for the toddler to the teenager.
Burleigh Park: located off Old Warren Road, and has 160 acres of wooded area for hiking and other passive activities.
