Please be advised of the following telemarketing scam that is currently taking place in our community:
The Police Department has received complaints from residents, reporting that they are receiving calls from telemarketers who are seeking donations on behalf of the Palmer Police Department and asking residents for their credit cards numbers.
Please be advised that the Palmer Police Department is NOT soliciting donations from anyone in our community. These calls are phony!
If you receive a call of this type, hang up the phone immediately. Please do not give your credit card, checking account, or Social Security numbers to these callers.
If you have received a call of this nature and have mistakenly provided any of your personal information, please contact the Police Department as soon as possible.
